And because it's a sourdough loaf, there's a longer lead time than other products. We do our best to predict demand, but sometimes orders received Tuesday can't be fulfilled until the following week.
A traditional sourdough made to a French recipe with a mix of organic white, rye and wholemeal flours and slow fermented over several days with a wild yeast culture for a really full flavour.
Ingredients: water; organic white flour; organic wholemeal flour; organic salt (1%)
All of Cooper's Bakehouse products are produced in an environment which contains nuts, yeast, eggs and dairy produce (milk and butter). It is possible that these potential allergens may be found in trace quantities even when not in the ingredients listed. All of our products contain wheat and gluten. Cooper's Bakehouse is a small craft bakery in Brockley, SE4 that started in the back garden of founder Francis Cooper in 2012.
We only use organic flour, water, organic salt and fresh yeast in our bread. We make real, slow-fermented breads that are healthy and full of flavour.
The bakery has a powerful local ethos, supplying only within a three-mile radius and delivering 80% of our bread by bicycle. Our power is sustainably sourced from Ecotricity and every employee receives the London Living Wage as a minimum.
Starting September 10th we will deliver every Thursday to the following postcodes:
- SE5 - Camberwell & Denmark Hill
- SE15 - Peckham & Nunhead
- SE21 - Dulwich Village & West Dulwich
- SE22 - East Dulwich & Loughborough Junction
- SE23 - Forest Hill & Honor Oak Park
- SE24 - Herne Hill & Tulse Hill
The cutoff time for adding to or editing deliveries will be midnight on Tuesdays. Orders sent after this time will be delivered the following week.
We're planning to gradually expand our delivery zone across South London, and then launch our service in other parts of the capital.
